Legally recognized as an « association d’utilité publique » on 8th April 1988

Founded in 1971, the association « Les Amis du Musée Condé - Château de Chantilly » (Friends of the Condé Museum) has over 2 400 members today.

Our mission : to preserve the collections bequeathed to the Institut de France by the Duc d’Aumale in 1886, notably the second most beautiful collection of Old Masters in France, after that of the Louvre.

Our association contributes an average annual sum of €150,000 towards the restoration of the collections and the interior decorations of the Château.

Connaissant votre attachement à vous associer aux opérations prestigieuses, telle que la restauration du monument au prince Henri d’Orléans en 2025, nous faisons appel à votre engagement pour nous soutenir dans la restauration de la chapelle Saint-Paul

Estimation de la restauration

350 000 euros TTC.

Chantilly se doit de remettre en état ce chef d’œuvre de la Renaissance construit par Anne de Montmorency et actuellement en attente de restauration à la suite d’une tempête qui a endommagé sa toiture et sa charpente : la chapelle Saint-Paul. En 2027, une grande exposition conjointe à Chantilly et à Écouen fera le point des connaissances sur le Connétable de François Ier et d'Henri II, grand mécène de la Renaissance en France et second personnage du royaume après le roi.

L’Architecte en Chef des Monuments Historiques, Rémi Fromont (Covalence Architectes) a prévu une restauration complète de ce petit monument : consolidation des sculptures et des décors peints, restauration de la charpente, réfection de la couverture en ardoises et des ouvrages en plomb, révision des portes extérieures, de la voûte lambrissée intérieure, des vitraux et de la serrurerie.

La restauration doit être achevée pour l’inauguration de l’exposition sur Anne de Montmorency prévue début juin 2027 au Jeu de Paume de Chantilly et au musée national de la Renaissance au château d’Écouen.
